I have both books in front of me. The cover photo is the same with different color backgrounds.Title pages are the same with one Simon and Schuster(lgb) and the other Golden Press(silver). The story line is almost the same with the golden book having one line more after the line 'climbs up the trunk of the old apple tree.' It says on the next page 'Now she's down.'. There are a few pages of pictures missing from the silver book.The fourth page of the lgb has Katie by a hat and ball of yarn(she's awake now). The eigthth page shows Katie with a mouse in a wedge of cheese(but a very small mouse).The 16th page shows Katie lying on her back in the grass(now she's down). The 24th page shows Katie by an empty bowl(meow, where's my milk?) I hope you can understand this description. You have the basic story of Katie in the silver book.
