I own a 42 page E edition D3 Dumbo with a paper spine. This proves it had a paper spine publication. When changing spines it is not unusual to have some editions with both spines......you could have a rarity but there is no way to know. I would hang on to it if you are a collector of golden books.

I purchased a J edition of Dumbo in vfine condition but it has a paper spine Does anyone know if this edition was in fact produced with a paper spine. Santis guide lists it as a foil spine.
