I hope someone here can help me. I am looking for a book that I loved when I was a girl and would like to share it with my own girls. They all love animals and this story would be perfect for them.
Here is what I remember: A young girl decides to nurse back to health some animal, her own, maybe? Then she aquires other animals to care for from friends. She totes them all around in a wagon and even makes a nurse's hat for herself. If anyone remembrs this story, please hel me !!
