I would like to find one of my childhood little golden books. It would have been purchased around 1951. The plot: A boy goes into the woods and finds a logging railroad. The engineer invites him to ride in the cab, explaining that this is the last run of the loco, the railroad, and the engineer. The loco is purple with a crooked smoke stack. On the way, the frighten a rabbit. When the boy gets home at the end of the day, he tells his father about the railroad. Father buys the railroad, they fix up the loco, straightening its smoke stack, painting it blue and turn it into a tourist railroad employing the engineer. This is all I remember from 65 years ago. With the name of the book, I can certainly find a copy. What is the name, please? You may write to me a radioroy at pacbell dot net
