I just realized I have a Peter Rabbit Golden Book, it's dated 1958, but it doesn't say if it's a first printing or not. Has the price on the front .29, yellow cover, Peter is wearing blue coat with yellow buttons, eating a carrot. Any idea of the value?
To find out the edition # look on the last page, under the binding at the bottom and you might see a letter A - 1st, B - 2nd, C - 3rd, ..... The price of the book could range from $2.00 to $7.00 as listed in the 4th edition price guide.
The Peter Rabbit with the yellow cover was the 'C' edition of number 505( found on the cover corner). If it is in good condition , the value could be 6.00.
