I have recently come across a few books with a blue spine and in a couple of them on the title page in bold type reads ***** THIS IS A BANK STREET BOOK***** Written and tested by Bank Street Schools PIONEER LEADERS IN RESEARCH IN EDUCATION for young children
The titles that have this is The Taxi that Hurried - Second Printing and The New House in the Forest - No printing listed - last # on back cover is #27 The Story of Jesus
Does any one know anything about this? What is a Bank Street Book? I guess what I am asking is if anyone knows any history on these books. Second question, Value? I know you can't give any exact information without seeing the books but what would you guess based on my discription? Both are very clean with no writting coloring or stains, no bumped corners, colors on pages and covers are brilliant, the spines are a little rubbed from shelfing. Overall I'd give them 2 thumbs up! I believe it would be pretty hard to find a book much better than these. ( oh yeah, no DJ's - two thumbs down). Thanks for your time and your information. Jami Tomlinson
