Hi, I am trying to figure out whether or not this copy of _Pussy Willow_ is a 1st ed. The copyright date is 1951. There are no identifying marks. On the top right corner, next to the original price of 25 cents, the number 314 appears. On the back cover, there is an ad for Golden Nature Guides. Thanks so much.
Then you need to lift the spine up a little bit to see the letter. The only other way is to have 1st printing written in the front which this title in a 25 cent book did not have. Unmarked books did not come along until 39 cent books.
