I am trying to recall the title/details of a LGB I remember from the late 60s or early 70s.
The story was written in (or at least translated to) English, but the illustrations depicted what was very obviously French scenery - a breakfast of croissant and a big cup of cafe au lait, a newspaper "Le Matin", a shop with great wheels of red cheeses, etc.
Unfortunately I don't remember much at all of the story - I think it was something of "a day in the life of" the protagonist/s (which could have been child/dog/cat) going about their daily routine shopping, eating, etc.
The illustrative background seems unusual for a LGB, and I'd like to know more about it (once I find out what it was!).
