I'm looking for my favorite book as a child. It's about a little girl(I think her name was Amy) who tries to stay up all night on her birthday, but eventually falls asleep.

Hi Michelle--I know this was answered already by Steve, but thought I would add that the book was later re-titled "The Longest Birthday" and different number 2418-1. Same author, but new illustrations. My mom gave the newer version of the book to my daughter in the late 1970's; so if you haven't yet found a copy, try checking the later title and number. Hope this helps!
