I am looking for two books my parents read to me as a child. The first is a giant golden book with a blue paper hardcover and multiple short stories and poems inside including one about a boy who needs a suit ad so he goes from sheep through spinning and weaving through all he steps to tailor until he produces that suit. I think it had a girl on cover reading the same book with a girl on the cover.
THe second book I am looking for was a regular golden book with rainbow endpapers; I remember it was about a boy playing in puddles on a rainy day and the refrain 'hay foot straw foot"--there were also umbrellas in it and a yellow slicker?
Both would have been publishd in the 1940's or 1950's.

The second book is Make Believe Parade by Wonder Books. The rainbow end papers would be on the first edition.
