Is the spine missing??? It can come off easily. The first book numbered 571 came out in 1971. It is in the era of non marked first editions. My Little Dinosaur came out with the number 304-2 in 1979. It was a 6th edition. The five digit numbered books came out after that.
I came across a book My little Dinosaur in a garage sale it has no copywrite date and no golden spine to it. Someone had wrote 1st on the inside page. I looked it up on the internet and saw it with the trademark golden spine and found out if was done in 1971 or 3 and in 1977. Just wondering about this.Could it be a sample first before actual production?
