I had a little golden book about a little girl who goes to the laundramat with her mom. She keeps trying to help & getting in the way, and ends up opening a washer & flooding water everywhere. A man wraps her in a warm towel & shows her how to roll socks. The illustrations are lovely & unusual. Any idea of the title?
Well, if you're still wondering, the book is titled "The Big-Enough Helper", LGB #208-05 (later #204-41), by Nancy Hall, pictures by Tom O'Sullivan, c. 1978.
