I am trying to find a book that may be a collection of children's stories or a story book in and of itself.
My memory is very limited, but this is what I recall.
A turtle who is a mailman (no not franklin)delivers mail each day down a lane. There is a miss pig (not Miss Piggy)who waits every day fretting by her mailbox waiting for a letter, she wears pumps. Always no mail for her so the neighbors in the lane decide to have a party for her and send her and invitation. I'm fairly sure one of her neighbors is a duck. This story is at least 35 years old and probably older as I use to read it as a child in the doctor's office. Please help me find this book!!!!!

Rand McNally Elf Book
Title: The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane
Copyright: 1952
Chipmunk is the mailman. Turtle is just a character in the story.
