Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly #175

Uncle Mistletoe and me(Aunt Holly) are characters that were created by and are the property of Marshall Field & Co. They were used as Christmas promotions by that company in the early 1950's. In Rebecca Greason's Guide to Golden Book Collectibles (1991) , she states that Marshall Field was one of the original companies to place advance orders for little golden books when they were first released in 1942.
The story is about Peter and Bets going to the wintery woods to see Santa Claus. Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly greet them at the Cozy Cloud Cottage.
In the 1980's I was given an Aunt Holly ornament for my tree by my nephew so I know the characters were still in use then by Marshall Field & Co. in Chicago.
